The Brevard Zoo houses 480animals from 130 different species from all over the globe.
It is opens 10am to 5 pm.
Special service for the disabled
For the handicapped wheelchair & stroller are provided on rental basis.
Wheelchair and Stroller Rentals
Wheelchair - $3.00 plus $2.00 refundable deposit.
Single Stroller - $4.00 plus $1.00 deposit.
Double Stroller - $6.00 plus $1.00 deposit.
Services
· The Zoo provides free parking for the visitors' vehicle
· Snack bars and gift shop plus picnic table provided on request
· The Zoo's Serengeti Special Events Pavilion is available for rental for private
parties, company picnics, weddings, etc. The sitting capacity is 250-300.
· On request Special Animal Presentations can be arranged
· More over the entire Zoo is available for rent for after hour's event Train
Ride
Newest Addition in the Zoo
Recently opened " flying Fox Forest"- a natural habitat consisting of babbling brook and orchid garden where 7 giant tropical fruit bats, muntjac and many exotic species of bird have made their home.
Education Programs
The zoo provides a whole lot of educational packages for students-filed trips outreach to schools; off-site programs at remote sites, weekend classes, pre-school on-site programs, overnight educational parties, spring and summer camps etc.
Zoo School
This innovative programme provides full time education on the Zoo for fifth grade students Melbourne's Sherwood Elementary School. Now the last additions have been - Cambridge Elementary and Endeavor Elementary. |
